Homemade pasta and pizza couldn't be better than this. The owner is so warn and friendly as is the entire staff. Prices very reasonable and wine list is extensive. Even their fish is great. I had the salmon which was prepared perfectly and the rest of our party enjoyed the ravioli and lasagna dishes. The soup of the day was perfect for a colder Ventura evening--chicken vegetable. All the deserts are fresh and homemade and parking is easy. It just doesn't get better than this!

Came here for a nightcap and was pleasantly surprised by the discreet entrance and live music. The guy at the door was welcoming and social. It was moderately crowded on a week night, but the bands were really good. I got the Banana Hammock which had mezcal in it. Hit the spot for a place to unwind.

The food was wonderful, the downside was the long wait to get our meals. The bread is to die for. Very busy so there can be a wait for a table.

Real authentica Italian food. I am 100 percent Italian from New York. It was a pleasure great service and filled with dinners. Open seven days a week for dinner only. Had frried calamari not greasy and light delish. Salmon with vegetables and my date had pasta with shrimp. Great bottle of sangeovesa and cocktails to delight your senses. I like the cuisine and location at the beach at the end of Seaward. Go and enjoy prices reasonable. Went on mother's day with mom and my son. Great warm service had gnocchi that was better than my grandma's. Eggplant Parma spectacular. TIRAMISU OUT OF THIS WORLD ANDCREME BRULEE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. OWNER FRANSICO WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY. ENJOY

***Would not recommend, avoid this establishment***Tried to call in 3 times to make a reservation/order. The phone was left ringing and unanswered all 3 attempts. If the food is reflective of the quality of service... prepare to be disappointed.

The food here is incredibly flavorless. I brought a group of 15 people here based on the good reviews but every one of us who had the food was incredibly disappointed! We were extremely hungry after an 8 hour hike in the channel highlands and were looking forward to this- but everything was so bad. :( Giving it an extra star because they were able to accommodate our big group so quickly, but was sad that this place gave Los Angeles food a bad name.

Fantastic view, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food! I do not give away 5 star reviews lightly. You really have to earn them with great food, staff and a great restaurant. We will be back. Oh the food! It was fantastic, did I already say that? I had the pork chops and my wife had the Spaghetti Carbonara. It was great! We both shared. And had a very hearty meal.

Good Food but they seem to be understaffed.

Just adored this place. Indoor and outdoor seating, shocked it wasn't packed because the food was great. But just a tad awkward on figuring out how the seating works. Needs some clarity on where to go after walking in. We had very mindful and attentive service. Which means they checked on our comfort (heater, candlelight, parmesean cheese) without abrupt interrupts during table conversation.Right next to the beach for a shoreline walk after your meal. Took the multi layer Tiramisu home. Enough for friends to spoon over with some laughs. Good choice for a casual dining experience, business lunch or dinner, or even a romantic date.

Have been wanting to try this place for awhile and glad we finally did. Wonderful pasta done with just a few simple ingredients but all adding up to a delicious dinner. I had the bucatini alla Gricia which has only a few ingredients but tasted wonderful and was satisfying without being overwhelming. Generous pours of wine made for a great evening out on the patio. Very attentive staff that checked in frequently without being overbearing. Looking forward to further exploration of the menu!

Italian food, yeah, super yummy. Very delicious. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. The place has a cool feel to it. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

Great atmosphere and service. It was a busy Saturday night with large parties, yet the staff was very attentive to our order. Our appetizer arrived fast and so did the rest of our orders. I enjoyed my pizza and the salad was fresh.We topped it off with some coffe and dessert. It was lovely as we had a very busy week . We felt taken care of. Anyone who isn’t familiar with the area parking is beachside public parking or a couple buildings before on busy days you may have to park farther away.

Very delicious food. It felt like an Italian experience not just a meal. I had the Spezzatino, a beef tenderloin stew, slowly cooked with tomatoes, potatoes, wine and Italian seasoning. Filling and tasty. I was tempted into trying the Tiramisu for dessert. It tasted rich and had such a velvety feel in my mouth that I wanted to lick the plate clean. (I didn't; this is a classy place)

Since our favorite Italian restaurant closed, we decided to try this place out. The bread was delicious and goes great with their oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the lasagna and it was amazing. You just get a slice of lasagna and wasn't sure if I was going to get full off of it and I did. My friend ordered the pizza and the crust was delicious. We ended up ordering their tiramisu and it was just as delicious as their dinner. They do open around dinner time which is perfect. The best view is near the window that is closest to the beach, especially around sunset. If you happen to finish before sunset, a short walk to the beach and a great way to end the evening. Service was fast and great, even when its busy.

My sister brought me here for my birthday dinner... The food was fantastic! They gave me a complimentary dessert which was delightful.

I came to dinner here at Spasso Cucina Italiana one night and had a lovely experience. An incredibly authentic and delicious Italian joint over in Ventura, it's right along the beach (literally, depending on where your table is, you can watch the sunset while you eat dinner, it's amazing). Their menu is delicious and their customer service is on point.

Without a doubt, the best Italian food in all of Ventura County. Oh sure, the ambiance is nice, the staff is friendly and efficient, but the food.....the food (and I've had about 85% of everything on the menu now) is just...really good.

Definitely a favorite now. Had such a great experience Sunday the we went back on Monday. Had four different entrees, each was wonderful. The tiramisu is the best. We will back again.

Small cozy restaurant next to the beach. Nicely greeted and served chilled bottle of ice water. Menu filled with home made pasta choices. Pasta dishes were consumed by all with great gusto. The signature martinis arrived brim full and a pretty good house made tiramisu topped it off. Nice location just off the beach if you are hanging in the avenues.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Ventura County...hands down! Wonderful friendly service that compliments and recommends the robust authentic dishes.

Consistently the best food in Ventura, and definitely the best Italian food around. Great drinks too.

This is the most authentic northern Italian food in Ventura and maybe the county. Great place for a romantic night out. The owner is always present helping around the restaurant. I live taking my wife here on special occasions. Reservations aren't required but try to, as it can get busy.

As we ate, we realized that there was much more. Our calamari was so honest. I don't know if you know what I mean. I lived in France for 6 years. The French are incredible cooks, great flavor, great chefs. However, Spasso does not hide behind their sauces. They are not covering anything up. They present food in its purest state. They elevate the plate.
